Maybelline color tattoos

Hey everyone it's Sunday so I hope you've all had a nice weekend and are chilling out before school or work tomorrow .
This week I decided to do Maybelline color Tattoo since Lucy who commented asked me to! and luckily I already had two of them but I went to boots yesterday to get some makeup wipes and a lip brush so I picked up a third one so I could review a broad spectrum of colors.
The colors I chose are Immortal Charcoal , Pink Gold & Turquoise forever. I know that In the US there are a lot of colors available but since I'm in the UK we really don't have that many colors yet but I'm hoping we'll get them soon since there's a few I know I want.

Immortal Charcoal

Firstly we have Immortal Charcoal which is a Darker silver with a slight grey tint and shimmer to it . This is my favorite of the colors I've tried so far.
It's also a good base for other colors and can be used next to other colors to give a good effect , I've also used this along with a eyeliner brush as a cream under eye liner but I defiantly prefer it as a eyeshadow.
Overall this shade is really good to use to create other looks or by itself when your in a rush it lasts for ages and is super pigmented , however it does not maintain it's color for the full twenty four hours and fades to a dull grey tint after about ten hours.

Pink Gold

Secondly we have Pink gold this shade is really good for everyday wear if your at school or work using this with a white eyeshadow or light neutral shade can create a nice look.  Personally I felt it looked a little plain for use outside of school but for in school or an environment where I don't want to wear too bold of a color its really good.
Also I felt that this product really didn't go that great with blue eyes and after a few times wearing this to school I realized it had a strange effect on my eyelid and almost made it appear swollen looking :( not good ! But this same shade looked amazing on my friend who has brown eyes so and another friend with slightly darker blue eyes so I think you really have to try it yourself.                       Overall this is a really night light girly shade for everyday use however since it did not look good with my eye color I will not be purchasing this again , also just like the Immortal charcoal this shade did not hold its color for twenty four hours and to maintain a decent color build up I think you'd have to re apply every four hours or so.
Turquoise forever
Lastly we have Turquoise Forever this color is really bold and for me is move of a night time or summer color and I defiantly won't be wearing it to school.I think a color like this is an acquired taste and some people might look at this and think why on earth has she bought this .I actually love turquoise eye products they tend to work well with my eye color however, this is the worse turquoise eye product and just eye product overall that I've tired in a long time.
Overall the color is super pigmented to start with and looks great but within a hour its all smudged over your eye are and within two its faded and seriously made me look like I'd been punched in the face ! Not good ! this is by far my least favorite Color Tattoo and I will NOT be re purchasing!
Sadly due to the fact that my camera was playing up majorly today and would not focus I don't have individual swatches but I did manage to get one of all three together .
Thank you for reading my first ever review/blog post , obviously I'm not going to be a pro straight away but hopefully I'm going along the right lines and you didn't totally hate reading!                          If there are any High street/Drug store products available in the UK that you would like me to review leave a comment and I'll try and get my hands on the product :)
Have a good week !

Thursday 10 October 2013

Hey everyone !

Welcome to my new blog and what I hope is the first post of many !

I'll hopefully be reviewing a different product every Sunday so be sure to follow my blog for weekly updates.

I'm trying to make this blog beauty on a budget so I won't be doing any luxury brand reviews unless it's around Christmas or birthday time since I want to show that you can have great products that don't cost the earth !

If you have any items that you want reviewed and can be purchased in the UK and cost £1-£10 please comment below and I'll defiantly look into getting hold of that product to review it :)

Thanks for reading everyone I will be posting a review this Sunday.

xoxo
